Oink (Victoria Street)

A hog roast roll shop run by fourth-generation farmers, with the whole roast pig in the window on Victoria Street and two further branches at Canongate and Hanover Street. The system is simple: pick a size, from the Piglet up to the Grunter, pick your stuffing (sage and onion or haggis) and sauce, and eat it on the curve of Edinburgh's most photographed street. Shops open daily from 11am and close when the pig runs out, which on busy days is exactly as early as that sounds.
