Sticky Walnut
11 Charles Street, Hoole, Chester, CH2 3AZ
About
The neighbourhood bistro that put Hoole, a short walk northeast of the walled centre, on Chester's food map. Part of chef Gary Usher's Elite Bistros group, Sticky Walnut runs a seasonal menu of confident, produce-led British cooking under head chef Luke Richardson, and holds a 2 AA Rosette for culinary excellence. The room is small, informal and usually full, and the fixed-price lunch and early menus are good value against the a la carte. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
