Shrub
1-3 Eastgate Row, Chester, CH1 1LQ
About
A plant-based restaurant built directly into the Rows themselves, at gallery level on Eastgate Row, serving award-winning small plates in a relaxed room with a strong drinks list. Shrub was voted Best Restaurant in Chester in 2024 and picked up recognition from the Good Food Guide, TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice and OpenTable's Top 100. Walk-ins are welcome, though not every table is bookable, and the venue also runs a private-hire Ember Room and masterclass events.
