The only hotel actually inside Canterbury Cathedral's precincts, run by the Cathedral itself and reached through the same gatehouse as every other visitor. The main Lodge has 34 en-suite bedrooms with cathedral views, and an adjacent Burgate building adds 5 further en-suite rooms plus a 2-bed flat, though that annexe has no lift and no view. Guests get free entry to the Cathedral, worth £19.50 a person, and breakfast is taken in the Refectory Restaurant, which spills onto a terrace in summer. There's a lounge bar and the small Campanile Garden to sit out in of an evening.
