The Anglesey
Castle Ditch (Pen Deitsh), on the harbour front, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1SG
About
The white pub on the harbour front below the castle, listed by CAMRA as the Anglesey Arms and by Cadw as the Anglesey Hotel. Cadw's record says it was built as the Customs House, reputedly in 1736, and had become a hotel by 1852. It stands hard against the outer face of the west town wall, so a drink at the tables outside puts the Menai Strait in front of you and the wall at your back.
