Brighton Palace Pier
About
Brighton Palace Pier is the working, lit-up, candy-floss-smelling pier that most people picture when they think of Brighton, and it is fully open and operating today. Entry onto the pier itself is free, and you only pay for individual rides, arcade games, or the fairground at the far end. It gets loud and crowded on summer weekends, so if you want photographs without crowds go early morning. Fish and chips on the pier at sunset is a proper Brighton ritual, and the views back toward the West Pier ruin and the i360 are some of the best in the city. It is open every day of the year except Christmas Day.
