The town's serious restaurant, on Bath Street, run by chef-owner Lee Smith. Its own site describes modern British food with a laid-back country feel and says Smith has held a Michelin star in a previous kitchen and was a regional finalist on the 2019 Great British Menu. Three courses from the a la carte cost £50 at Wednesday and Thursday dinner and Thursday to Saturday lunch; a lunch market menu at £25 is designed to take about 45 minutes. Bookings are made on the restaurant's own site and need card details, with a £20 a head charge for no-shows or cancellations inside 24 hours; tables of more than four should phone.
