Kiely's is the butcher counter on Market Street, in the run of shopfronts between the Bank of Ireland and the top of the town, and it is where Trim buys meat rather than where visitors are sent. It is a traditional counter operation: whole carcass work, house sausages and puddings, and the kind of order-ahead trade around Christmas and the Royal Meath Show weekend that tells you how long it has been there. Worth a stop if you are self-catering at Knightsbrook or taking a house for a weekend.
