Caredoc Waterford (GP out of hours)
Covers Tramore outside surgery hours: weeknights midnight to 09:00 and 18:00 to midnight, and around the clock at weekends and public holidays. Ring before travelling.
The strand is lifeguarded only in the summer season and only between the flags. The Guillamene and Newtown Cove have no lifeguard at any time of year. Ringbuoys are on the prom and at the coves; do not enter the water at the coves on a big swell.

Small clifftop car park above the cove with the view across to Brownstown Head. Fills fast on a swimming morning.

Off Doneraile Drive, the usual start for the cliff walk.
