About

The sailing club by the harbour is the home of a long dinghy and cruiser tradition, and the birthplace of the Measle, a dinghy designed locally and launched in Skerries in 1960. Racing runs through the season and visitors are welcomed; the club is the social and sporting heart of the harbour on a summer evening. If you sail, it is worth contacting ahead about visitor berthing and racing; if you do not, it is a good spot to watch the fleet go out.
