About
A few minutes up the coast between Skerries and Balbriggan, Ardgillan is a country house of 1738 set in one of the finest public demesnes in Fingal, with walled and rose gardens, beech avenues and long views over the sea to the Mournes. The parkland is free and open year-round and is a favourite local walk; the house runs guided tours. It sits just outside the town, so treat it as a nearby half-day rather than an in-town stop.
