Travelling to Lahinch by train

Getting to Lahinch

How to reach Lahinch by train, bus, or car.

Rail

Lahinch has no railway station today. The West Clare Railway served the town from 1887, the line that turned it from a fishing hamlet into a Victorian seaside resort, but it closed in 1961. The nearest working station is Ennis, roughly 27km away, on Iarnrod Eireann's Limerick-Ennis-Galway line; from Ennis, continue to Lahinch by Bus Eireann Route 350 or taxi.

Bus

Bus Eireann Route 350 (Galway-Kinvara-Doolin-Lahinch-Ennistymon-Ennis) calls at Lahinch and is the main public transport link, connecting on to the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Ennis and Galway in one direction. A second, more limited service, Route 333, links other regional points once daily, Monday to Saturday.
