3 Counties Shannon Tour

About

The easy one in Lough Derg eBike Tours' Killaloe set, and the one that stays by the river rather than the lake. It leaves Killaloe Hotel and Spa, crosses the bridge into Ballina and takes the new cycle path to Birdhill, then drops back to the Shannon at O'Brien's Bridge and crosses over to Parteen Weir, where the river was split in two in the early years of the Free State. The way home is by Clare back roads into Killaloe, so the loop takes in Tipperary, Limerick and Clare. The operator pitches it at all abilities, keeps groups to six, and will collect you from your accommodation in the Killaloe area. Its tour page gives two and a half hours and its tour list three, so allow for the longer.
