McCambridge's of Galway
38-39 Shop Street, Galway
McCambridge's has anchored Shop Street since 1925, family-run across three generations, equal parts fine-food grocer, deli, off-licence and coffee bar, with a casual restaurant upstairs. The shelves run to Irish and international cheeses and meats, jams, chutneys, Irish chocolate and an award-winning wine and whiskey range. It is the obvious stop for a Galway hamper or a stocked larder, and a genuine institution rather than a tourist novelty. The made-to-order food and the off-licence both punch well above their floor space.
