Hazel Mountain Chocolate
9 Middle Street, Latin Quarter, Galway
Hazel Mountain is a bean-to-bar Irish chocolate maker whose roots are out in the Burren in County Clare, with this city-centre shop and cacao brew bar on Middle Street. A chocolatier works on truffles daily, and the signature hot chocolate is the reason a fair few people duck in out of the Galway rain. It is a small, genuinely artisan operation rather than a gift-shop front. Open roughly ten to five, daily.
