Getting to Enniscorthy
How to reach Enniscorthy by InterCity train, ferry, bus, or car.
By train
Enniscorthy is on the Dublin Connolly to Rosslare Europort line, and it is a through-station: trains call in both directions, south to Wexford and Rosslare and north to Gorey, Arklow, Wicklow, Bray and Dublin. On the Irish Rail timetable valid from 14 December 2025, the run from Connolly takes about two hours and seventeen minutes, and there are five trains a day each way on weekdays and three on Saturdays and Sundays, so plan around them. Enjoy Enniscorthy, the town's own visitor site, rates it among the most scenic rail journeys in Ireland, by Killiney Bay and the Avoca viaduct. The station is in Templeshannon on the east bank, a few minutes' walk from the bridge, and the castle is about 350 metres away across the river. Wexford O'Hanrahan Station is about twenty minutes further on.
