About
Rackard's on Rafter Street is a sports bar named for the most famous family in Wexford hurling. Bobby Rackard, the owner's father, played for Wexford from 1947 to 1957 alongside his brothers Nicky, Billy and Jim, and the brothers were on the teams that won the All-Irelands of 1955 and 1956; the photographs and cuttings on the walls tell the rest. It does breakfast and lunch Monday to Saturday, has a patio and a beer garden out the back, and shows the matches on the biggest screen in town. If you want to understand why a hurling final empties Enniscorthy, this is the pub to watch one in.
