Twelve bespoke rooms at Sunday's Gate, on the north side above the town centre, in a conversion that also runs a restaurant and bar downstairs. Rooms have king beds, en-suites and smart TVs, and the whole thing is pitched at people who want somewhere with a bit of design to it rather than a chain room. It is the newest place to stay in the town and it opened the bedrooms before the restaurant, so if you are counting on eating in the building, confirm what is running when you book. Sunday's Gate is a five to ten minute walk down into West Street.
