About

The Burren Smokehouse, run by the Curtin family in Lisdoonvarna since 1989, is the best-known food producer in the area, smoking organic Irish salmon and assembling gourmet hampers. Its visitor centre and shop are free to visit and make the obvious food gift to take home from a Doolin trip, even though they sit in Lisdoonvarna, about 6 km up the road, rather than in Doolin village itself. Worth the short detour for the salmon alone.
