A full-size replica of White O'Morn, the cottage Sean Thornton buys back in the film, built on the corner of Abbey Street and Circular Road. It is worth being clear about what this is and is not: the original White O'Morn is a ruin at Tiernakill South near Maam, about 25 km away in County Galway, and the cottage interior in the film was a Hollywood set. The museum is the first place the exterior and the interior have been put together in one building. Inside there are exact replicas of the furnishings, costumes made by the same Galway firm, O'Maille's, that dressed the cast for John Ford in 1951, and some genuine artefacts, including the fishing rod Father Lonergan used in the salmon scene and Napoleon the horse's original harness. The best part is the least filmic: a wall of Irish newspaper cuttings from the summer of the shoot, trawled out of library microfiche, showing what the village made of Hollywood arriving.

- →The gift shop is upstairs and is the cheapest Quiet Man shop in the village on the visitors' own account.
