Cashel Folk Village

About

A privately run folk museum off Main Street that recreates Irish village and rural life of the past in a series of reconstructed shopfronts, cottages, a forge and themed rooms, along with a penal chapel and republican memorials. It is homespun rather than slick, a personal collection assembled over years, and it makes a good hour for families and anyone interested in everyday social history away from the grandeur of the Rock.
