The other cruiser fleet in town, and the one older locals still call Emerald Star: the Irish brand was absorbed into Le Boat and emeraldstar.ie now lands on Le Boat's site, but the base itself has not moved and sits on the same reach of river as Carrickcraft. Boats run from two to twelve berths and the hire season is April to October. The base takes bike hire, angling dinghies, gas barbecues and secure parking as pre-bookable extras. If you are flying in, they run a standard Dublin Airport transfer to Carrick on Saturdays at a per-person rate, with other days available subject to a minimum group.
