Cryan's Teach Ceoil

About

Cryan's is the trad house on Bridge Street, pouring since 1956 and still the first place a local sends you for music rather than for a cocktail. The sessions run Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights with a bluegrass night on Fridays, which is an unusual thing to find in a Connacht town and is worth timing a visit around. There is a stove and a snug at the back for the months when the river is grey. This is a drinking and listening pub rather than a dining room, so eat elsewhere on Bridge Street first and come in for the second half of the evening.
