About

SkyPark sits on the Dundalk road about a mile and a half south of the village, and it is where Carlingford Adventure Centre put the activities that need space and structures rather than water: high ropes and aerial adventure, a netted adventure course, a crystal maze, archery combat and an ancient maze. From late October to early January it changes character entirely and becomes Adventure Lights, a walk-through illuminated forest trail with a letter hunt and a fairy tree that takes about ninety minutes, which is the single biggest thing happening in Carlingford through the winter. Family tickets are sold for four or five people, and group rates start at fifteen.

Highlights

  • High ropes, aerial adventure, a netted course and a crystal maze in forest
  • Adventure Lights, an illuminated forest trail running late October to early January
  • Family tickets for four or five, and group rates from fifteen people
  • Far enough out of the village to have proper parking, close enough to walk back for dinner

Tips

  • Adventure Lights runs on timed evening slots from about 3pm or 4pm to 8pm depending on the date; book online rather than turning up.
  • It is about 1.5km south of the village on the Dundalk road, so a short drive or a twenty-minute walk.
  • Dress for standing around outside in the dark in December, not for a shopping centre grotto.
