About

The Carlingford Arms is the big bar and restaurant in the middle of the village, painted lime green and purple and impossible to miss on the corner. It runs bar and restaurant menus built on local Carlingford oysters, seafood chowder, fish landed nearby, and beef and lamb from the peninsula, and it has live music regularly. The same premises also run Ruby Ellen's Tea Rooms during the day and a first-floor cocktail bar, The Loft, which takes private groups, so between them they cover most of what a weekend in Carlingford asks for. It opens six days a week and is currently closed on Tuesdays. Bookings are taken by phone or through the website contact form rather than an online engine, and on a Saturday you should use one.
