Windsor Guildhall
About
Windsor Guildhall is the town hall on the High Street, built between 1687 and 1689, and it carries a well-known if unverified legend that Christopher Wren finished the building and deliberately left the inner columns short of the ceiling to prove they were not needed. It was the venue for the 2005 wedding of the then Prince Charles and Camilla, and it houses the Windsor and Royal Borough Museum. It is a quick, free stop in the middle of town, best paired with a wander of the historic streets around the Castle.
