The Travelodge Windsor Central is the cheapest reliable bed genuinely inside Windsor town centre, a recently refurbished budget hotel about three minutes' walk from Windsor & Eton Central station, Windsor Royal shopping and Alexandra Gardens, and a short walk from the Castle. It has king-size beds, an on-site bar-cafe and 24-hour staffing. Parking is off-site and chargeable, but for a low-cost base you can explore on foot it is hard to beat.
