About
A family-run distillery in the Old Smiddy on Lower Castlehill, at the foot of the castle, making gin since 2019 and now whisky. Its own site says Stirling Gin is distilled with hand-foraged Stirlingshire nettles and that it is the first to make whisky in Stirling in over 170 years, with the first release due on 19 June 2027. The Sons of Scotland range is whisky bottled from other distilleries, not made here. The shop and visitor centre run tastings: a gin experience and a whisky experience from £32, and walk-in mini tastings from £15 that need no booking.
