Portree Harbour and Quay Street

About
The harbour is the reason the town is here. Wikipedia describes it as fringed by cliffs, with a pier designed by Thomas Telford, and the row of painted houses along Quay Street is the view on most Portree postcards. It is a working harbour: boats go out from the pier for wildlife trips, Sea Breezes and the Lower Deck serve seafood on the front, and Quay Brae climbs back up to Somerled Square. A photographer's caption on Geograph from 2022 notes cruise liners in the summer months and a fishing fleet and salmon farming traffic. It is free, it is a five-minute walk downhill from the bus stand, and the best view of it is from the Apothecary's Tower on the Lump above.
