Faskally Wood and Loch Dunmore
1.2 km (Dunmore Trail) or 2.4 km (Foresters' Trail), per Forestry and Land Scotland ·
About
The wood north-west of town where the Enchanted Forest happens each autumn. By day it is Forestry and Land Scotland's Faskally, a model woodland the owners of Faskally House created in the 19th century, with Loch Dunmore inside it. Two waymarked trails leave the Faskally car park: the Dunmore Trail, about 1.2 km round the loch on a firm gravel path with some short slopes, allowing half an hour, and the Foresters' Trail, about 2.4 km with tree roots, steep slopes and wooden steps, allowing an hour, which follows the shore of Loch Faskally. Forestry and Land Scotland promises a spectacular show of autumn colour.

Tips
- →Both trails start at the Faskally car park; Forestry and Land Scotland says there is a charge to park at some of its sites.
- →Forestry and Land Scotland's route card points to toilets, shops and cafes in Pitlochry rather than at the wood.
