A timber-framed inn on Lower Street, a few steps from Bayard's Cove, that serves food from breakfast to supper: breakfast 8am to 11am, lunch from noon to 2.30pm and dinner 6pm to 9pm, by its own dining page. The menus lean on West Country suppliers, with fish landed locally and Dartmouth crab, and there are plant-based and gluten-free dishes and a children's menu. Lunch can be boxed up to eat on a bench by the cove. The inn calls itself the second oldest building in Dartmouth and dates it to the 14th century, a claim this guide could not check; it was listed Grade II in 1949.
