Blue sits on the South Quay looking straight out over Wicklow Harbour, and it is the closest thing the town has to a proper destination dining room. Seafood is the point, landed on a coast where the fishing fleet is still tied up outside the window, but the menu runs wider than that, and Wicklow Town's own tourism site notes it has drawn attention from the national papers as well as from locals. It is a small room in a town that does not have many rooms like it, so the standing advice from every source is the same: book, especially at a weekend, and especially in the summer. Reservations are taken by phone rather than online.
