A Strand Street institution since Peter and Deirdre opened it in 2005, and still the town's daytime headquarters. The counter does melt sandwiches, hearty pies, soups and salads, with a long list of coffee and loose-leaf tea, and the baked goods come out of the in-house kitchen and from local baker Orla McMahon. The soup and hot roll of the day change daily to keep the regulars happy, and the prices stay sensible. A deli too, so you can put together a picnic for the South Strand.
