A Full Day: Errisbeg, the Bog Road and the Beaches
A complete Connemara day from Roundstone: the climb up Errisbeg, the two tombolo beaches, and the Bog Road drive to Clifden and back.

Start early up Fuschia Lane beside O'Dowd's for the unmarked climb to Errisbeg's 300m summit, with views over both beaches and the bog. Allow 3.5 to 4 hours return, or book the guided version through GetYourGuide.

Vaughan's at the Roundstone House Hotel or O'Dowd's for something more substantial after the climb.

Gorteen Bay and Dog's Bay
Drive the short distance out to the tombolo and walk the loop between the two beaches, or simply swim if the weather allows.

The Bog Road to Clifden
Continue the R341 loop through Ballyconneely to Clifden, across the Connemara Bog Complex, before looping back or returning the way you came.
