Shanagarry, not Midleton: this is out past Cloyne, roughly 12km southeast of the town, and you will need a car. Stephen Pearce pottery is one of the pieces of Irish craft most likely to be already in your family's kitchen without you knowing where it came from, the terracotta-and-white and blue-on-red ranges having been made here for decades. Shanagarry Potters now curates and commissions alongside the Stephen Pearce ranges, working with other Irish makers as well as producing its own. If you are already going out to Ballymaloe or Ballycotton, it is on the same road.
