Cush spent five years in Ballycotton building a reputation before head chef Dan Guerin moved the restaurant into Midleton in March 2025, taking over The Courtyard off Main Street. The Ballycotton premises stayed on as a guesthouse and bar; the restaurant came inland. The cooking is seasonal and Irish-sourced, built around what East Cork producers are bringing in rather than a fixed carte, and the room is a good deal less formal than the plates suggest. It is in the MICHELIN Guide. Open Wednesday to Sunday and on bank holidays, noon to 10pm, with Monday and Tuesday closed, so a Monday plan needs a different restaurant. Book ahead: this is the town's headline table and it is not a big room.
