About
The Hunt Museum holds one of the finest private collections in the country, gathered by John and Gertrude Hunt and housed in the elegant eighteenth-century Custom House on the riverfront at Rutland Street. The collection runs from ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman pieces through medieval and Irish antiquities to fine and decorative art, including works attributed to Picasso, Renoir and Gauguin. It is a serious, world-class museum on a scale you can actually take in, and its riverside café is a good stop in its own right. Closed on Mondays.
