Lough Leane & Innisfallen Boat Trip
← All things to do
About
From the pier at Ross Castle, open boats run out across Lough Leane to Innisfallen Island, where a monastery founded around the seventh century kept the Annals of Inisfallen, one of the key chronicles of medieval Ireland. The trip lands you on the island to wander the ruins among the trees, with life jackets supplied and a guide who knows the lake. It is the gentlest way onto the water, and a good shorter alternative to the full Gap of Dunloe day.
