The big pink hotel on the Tipperary bank, just upriver from the bridge with gardens running down to the water. Its own site describes 55 rooms, an 18-metre swimming pool with a 40-metre water slide, a Jacuzzi and a gym, which makes it the obvious base for families in the twin towns, and it is a long-standing wedding venue. The hotel calls itself Killaloe, Co. Clare in places, but it stands in Ballina, Co. Tipperary: cross the bridge from Killaloe and turn left along Lakeside Drive.
