About
The Lakeside Hotel's two dining rooms, on the Tipperary bank just upriver from the bridge with the water in front. O'Hara's Bar is named after Maureen O'Hara, whose husband Captain Charles Blair regularly landed his transatlantic seaplanes on Lough Derg; the hotel says the bar has signed photographs from her films and regular traditional music sessions. Food is served from 12pm to 9pm daily, and the hotel says no reservation is necessary. Cois Locha is the restaurant proper, open on Friday and Saturday evenings and for Sunday lunch from 12.30pm to 3pm, for which it advises booking. The hotel is in Ballina, Co. Tipperary, whatever its letterhead says.
