About

Gleninchaquin is a privately run nature park in a glacial valley at Tuosist, about 13 km from Kenmare along the north shore of the bay, built around a tall waterfall and a set of walking trails through farmland, wood and open hill. There are marked walks from short loops to a stiffer climb to the top of the falls, with lakes, old field systems and big views back over the valley. It is a working hill farm as well as a park, and entry is by a cash fee at the gate, so bring notes and coins. It is a fine half-day in good weather and a genuine bit of the quiet Beara side of Kenmare.
