Micil Distillery

Micil is a small working distillery in Upper Salthill, run by a family with a poitín-making tradition going back some 170 years. The tasting experience takes place in the heart of the distillery and covers how whiskey and poitín are made, from mash bills to cask finishes, and why the two were once the same spirit separated only by a licence. There are two experiences to choose from, one with whiskey and poitín and one that adds their gin.
