Locally run guided walks set out mostly from Eyre Square or the Spanish Arch and take you round the heart of the medieval city. The route covers Lynch's Castle, St Nicholas' Church, Kirwan's Lane, the Latin Quarter and the Spanish Arch, all hung on the story of the City of the Tribes. The standard walk runs on a free, tip-based model, with paid private tours available if you want one to yourself. A good way to get the stories behind the buildings you would otherwise just walk past.
