The Hardiman
The Hardiman
Eyre Square, Galway, H91 NFD2
About
The grand old lady of Eyre Square, trading on this spot since 1852 and known for most of its life as the Great Southern, then Hotel Meyrick, before taking the name of Galway antiquarian James Hardiman. It is the most central hotel in the city, a one-minute walk from the train and coach stations, with Victorian bones and four-star comfort. MacNeill's Pub and the Gaslight Brasserie pull in locals as well as guests, and the rooms overlooking the Square put you right at the heart of things.
