An Irish Surfing Association approved surf school based on Enniscrone strand, set up in 2006 and run by the Lavelle family, with all instructors from the locality. They offer group lessons, summer camps for children, and hire of surfboards, wetsuits, boots and bodyboards. Enniscrone's clean sandy bottom and consistent peaks make it one of the best places in the county to take a first lesson.
