Via Veneto is the Italian on Weafer Street, just off Market Square, run by Paolo Fresilli and Diana. Paolo has been cooking for more than forty years, and the wine list runs to over a hundred Italian bottles, which is a lot for a dining room this size. It is an evening place only, open Wednesday to Sunday, and the menu changes often enough that the restaurant points you to its Facebook page to see it. Bookings are by phone or by email, and on a Friday or Saturday night it is worth ringing ahead rather than walking in.
