A one-hour cruise from Dún Laoghaire East Pier south along the coast, run by Dublin Bay Cruises. The boat passes the James Joyce Martello Tower and the Forty Foot, then Bullock and Coliemore harbours, and runs alongside Dalkey Island before rounding Sorrento Point into Killiney Bay. There is live commentary on the landmarks and the shoreline houses, and dolphins turn up on the water often enough to be worth watching for. A gentler alternative to the open rib tours.
