A Quiet Man themed B&B a mile out of the village on the Lisloughrey side, run by Gerry and Margaret Collins. The rooms are named after characters and the house carries a very large collection of film material. What makes it worth a paragraph rather than a line is the hosts: Gerry guided the Quiet Man tour for years and tells the stories over breakfast, and Margaret cooked at Ashford Castle during President Reagan's 1984 visit. It is five minutes' walk from The Lodge at Ashford Castle and from Lisloughrey Pier, which makes it the cheapest bed within walking distance of the boats.
