About
Clifden's signature scenic loop, in Irish Bóthar na Spéire, a roughly 16km circular route running west from the town out around the Kingstown peninsula and back. It splits into a lower and an upper road, with a Wild Atlantic Way viewpoint at the high point looking out over Clifden Bay and the offshore islands. The upper road is the one to take for the views. Narrow in places, so drive slowly and use the pull-ins.
