About

The oldest smokehouse in Connemara, on the water's edge at Bunowen Pier near Ballyconneely between Clifden and Roundstone, run by Graham and Saoirse Roberts. The family has smoked wild Atlantic and organic seafood here for more than forty years, using traditional beechwood methods in a kiln, Old Smoky, first commissioned in 1946. Ireland's first food Économusée, with a visitor centre and factory shop, known for its organic smoked salmon and line-caught tuna.
